Burchfield Penny Art Center
The Burchfield Penny Art Center (BPAC) is a $33 million, 65,000-square-foot museum that offers 9,000 square feet of galleries and 5,000 square feet of educational space, featuring 7,500 works of art from 600 artists, including Frank Lloyd Wright, Gustav Stickley, and Charles Burchfield, the famous American watercolorist for whom the facility is named.
The BPAC is a LEED-certified art center includes exhibition galleries, art storage and support spaces, classrooms, a lecture hall, offices, a cafe, a reception space, and a retail shop. The facility's state-of-the-art design incorporates innovative temperature and humidity control systems, which maintain a constant environment to protect valuable artwork.
